The Truth of Dreams in Islam

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

Dreams are of three types: a dream from Allaah, a dream which causes distress and which comes from the Shaytan, and a dream which comes from what a person thinks about when he is awake, and he sees it when he is asleep.” (al-Bukhaari, 6499; Muslim, 4200)

1. حديث النفس Self Talk: Most of the time, we dream about matters that we are concerned about, and thoughts that occupy our mind. Hence, these dreams are simply a reflection of our inner thoughts and concerns, and hence do not require interpretation.

2. الحلم من الشيطان – Dreams from Shaytan: Not only does our enemy, shaytan, trouble us while we are awake, but also in our asleep!

3. Good dreams: also known as truthful dreams
These dreams are the rarest type and are said to be one of the 46th parts or prophecies, according to hadith. These dreams depend on upon the level of sincerity of the individual. These dreams are true in nature and deliver glad tidings to the individual. One may experience these dreams if they are going through tough time and make seek comfort through these dreams. Following are the two types of good dreams:
  • Dreams that are very clear in their meaning and you can recall everything that you saw in your dream.

Perfect Age for Performing Umrah

Just thinking about Umrah energizes the devotee, but performing Umrah is a very strenuous task. Most of the people wonder ‘What is the perfect age to perform Umrah’, the age at which an individual can make the most out of these religious journeys.

Many Muslims believes that it is good to be done Hajj and Umrah at a young age. Youth? Running between overburdened with studies, responsibilities, carefree about finances, religious affairs so not ‘their thing’. So how could young age be the better age to perform Umrah? Well, the following discussion covers all answers of these questions:

Life is Unpredictable:
Young individuals associate with old people to perform Hajj and Umrah by picking Umrah Packages 2016 UK. They believe in enjoying their youth and plan to perform Umrah in their old age. A person always plans ahead of time but the fact is that they don’t even know if they are going to survive the very next moment or not. So, if live is giving you a chance to perform Umrah in your youth, do so. Let alone the question if young age is the perfect age to perform Umrah or not. Think about it! As said by Hazrat Umar (R.A) and quoted in Bukhari: “When evening comes, do not expect (to live till) morning, and when morning comes, do not expect (to live till) evening. Take from your health (a preparation) for your illness and from your life for your death.”

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has motivated people to perform Hajj as soon as it is possible for them. Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam; hence it cannot be neglected, and should be the top priority for any Muslim. A young boy/ girl should grab the very first opportunity for Hajj and Umrah that comes their way.
As reported in Ibn Majah “Expedite the performance of Hajj. For nobody knows what may obstruct one.”

As informed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Allah said: ‘Any of My slaves who is healthy and are of the means for five years, and did not visit My house, he is mahroom.”

A Chance to Apologize:
A person is most flexible in youth. Performing Umrah absolves all the sins and gives them the chance to repent and revert back to Islam. Through this, they get a head start in overcoming their mistakes which they committed in the past. Make the best out of your Youth.

As mentioned in Bukhari, “There are two blessings which many people do not make the most of and thus lose out: good health and free time.”

The Supplication (Dua):
Another reason why young age is the best age for doing Umrah as youngsters have a series of wishes which they want to come true and on the occasion of Umrah, Allah entertains all the legal supplications of his believers. As quoted in Tirmithi, “The best supplication is the supplication on the day of Arafah.” So, this is a huge opportunity to put their life on the right track by asking Allah for help over all the major concerns such as education, relationships, job, health, money and afterlife.

It is stated that “The warrior in the path of Allah, the one performing Hajj and the one performing Umrah are the delegations of Allah. If they call on Allah they are answered and if they ask Him for anything it is given to them.”

Umrah is not only an emotional or spiritual journey, it also demands physical strength. Youth is said to be the best age to perform Umrah as a young person is energetic and can perform all the rituals of Umrah properly. Hence, the best way to take benefits of your youth, health and energy are to devote them all to serve and please ‘Allah’, because when he blesses someone, he keeps no count of it.

Don’t wait. Choose Umrah Packages 2016 UK to make your youth spiritual journey memorable.

Distinction Between the Two Types of Umrah

The Imamiyyah philosopher made a distinction between al‑`Umrah al‑mufradah and `Umrah al‑tamattu`, stating the following reasons:

1. The Tawaf al-nisa' is mandatory in al‑`Umrat al‑mufradah, not in the `Umrat al‑tamattu; and according to some jurists is prohibited.

2. The duration of `Umrah al‑tamattu` continues from the first Shawwal month till the ninth of Dhu al‑Hijjah, whereas al‑`Umrah al‑mufradah can be performed throughout the year.

3. The pilgrim performing the `Umrah al‑tamattu` need to shorten the hair (al‑taqsir), whereas the mu`tamir of al‑`Umrah al‑mufradah can opt for shortening his hair or completely shaving (al‑halq).

4. The `Umrah al‑tamattu` and the Hajj fall in the same year while it is not in the case of al‑`Umrat al‑mufradah.

Karrarah, in his book al‑Din wa al‑Hajj `ala al‑madhahib al‑'arba'ah, mentions that, according to the Shafi`i  and Maliki schools, for the mu'tamir of al‑`Umrat al‑mufradah all things are permitted, even sexual intercourse, al‑taqsir (after the shortening of hair) or al‑halq (the head shave), irrespective of whether he brings along with him the sacrificial offering (al‑hady) or not. However according to the Hanafi and Hanbali  schools, the mu'tamir gets away with al‑taqsir or al‑halq, if he does not carry the divine offering; otherwise, he remains in the state of ihram until he gets through the Hajj and Umrah on yawn al‑nahr (on the day of sacrifice).
